He was a lawyer by training and profession. His friend studied in the same school with him. They were not only classmates but they were childhood friends. He was apprehended by the Government of his country and accused of a very serious offence, which carries a minimum of life sentence in jail.
He was brought to the court to be tried. The judge in this case was his childhood friend. Well, you will say, the man is free. Follow his story carefully. After protracted trials and evidences and counter evidences were presented, the judgment day came. The atmosphere was palpable. Some expected the judge who was his childhood friend to set him free, others expected otherwise based on the weight of evidences.
The judge and his team didn’t come in on time that increased the apprehension but suddenly they appeared. It was another long judgment they began to read, then a pulse. There was silence everywhere.
Then he said, “It is expected as my childhood friend that I temper justice with mercy but the evidences and facts before me can’t be ignored and on this basis of the evidences before me, you are convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment. He was taken away handcuffed.
By a stroke of a pen of a man, he was to spend the rest of his life in a dark dungeon behind bars. But after a few years another Government came into power and he was given a presidential pardon and released, He was convicted by man into the prison but God also used another man to set him free.
She was a little girl in her early 20’s; she was brought to a sharia court accused of adultery. She was jailed; she delivered her baby in the prison. The wife of Mr. President visited that prison after a while. She saw her pathetic situation with the new baby and found out the true story. That the man she was accused of committing adultery with was actually her husband and people wondered how a woman could commit adultery with her own husband.
Then it was discovered too that she was a Christian and had no business being tried in a sharia court. Based on these two illegalities of the court that threw her in prison the first lady also set her free. What a bundle of joy it was for her.
In these two cases, man convicted and imprisoned them and God used others to set them free.
That is the picture of your case before God. You were born into the world of sin. You grew knowing sin. No one taught you to lie, cheat, hate or revenge.
Others got entangled with fornication, adultery, stealing and money laundering. Every sin you committed since you were born, merited a great judgement against you.
It was eternal separation from God’s presence and in hell and punishment in hell.
That is the verdict for sin.
The law was clear, the law said that every soul that sins shall die.
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
Ezekiel 18:4
Death here is not the physical things that happen to people when they have accident or heart attack, this death is a total separation from the presence and pleasure of God into the pains and torments of hell with the devil forever and ever. This is the death the bible talks about.
The law has staked up evidences of all your sins whether great, minimal or small. Satan took advantage of that and accused you before God with the evidences of your sins. But Jesus stepped in and by that act of love He paid full penalty for your sins, it was a sacrifice of His life.
The death of Jesus was a sacrifice because He gave up His own life so you can gain access back to the love of God.
Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
1 Corinthians 5:7
Sin is like yeast that leavens the whole thing. But Jesus gave up His own life so the power of the satanic giants trying to destroy you will be dealt with once and for all. Do not be puffed up, be plain and simple so God can help you out of the callous spirit prison the enemy has held you.
Christ death was vicarious, that means, He died, not for His own sake but for the sake of others like you.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
Christ death was a substitution; He suffered death as a substitute for you. He died the death you should die. He paid the penalty that we should have paid. Your simple faith in Christ will take away you r condemnation.
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Romans 8:1
You can only walk in the spirit when the spirit of God has dominated your spirit, soul and body.
Just as the 1st lady physically set this lady free from the condemnation of men and just as in the physical another Government granted a presidential pardon to a man condemned to life imprison, everyone that accepts the love of Jesus and the power of all that His death has done by faith is also set free from eternal condemnation. You can be free now.
You can have a pardon and forgiveness from God. Forgiveness means a cancellation of your guilt.
You embrace that love of Christ in your heart and proclaim Him Lord of your life with your mouth and you shall be free from the eternal shame that the devil is putting up for you.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believed, unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:9-10
Why rush through the traffic home when you can spend that time in God’s wonderful presence and get back home full of joy and God’s presence.
It is time to be free, call someone now to pray for you and pray with you.
